Since the launch of the large SUV XC90 in the early 2000s, everyone has been waiting for a smaller version of the one that revolutionized the market. After presenting its first concept at the Detroit Motor Show in 2007, the Swedish manufacturer launched the Volvo XC60 in March 2008.
It quickly established itself as one of the most sought-after SUVs on the market. Comfort, design, safety... Everything has been put together by Volvo to make this SUV a commercial success. In terms of design, this Swedish SUV is strongly inspired by the curves of the compact C30. There are wide hips, shape in the light signature and a vertical grille.
In 2012, the Volvo XC60 becomes hybrid! This SUV is thus proposed the combination of a gasoline engine driving the front wheels and an electric motor that takes care of the rear wheels. The All Wheel Drive (AWD) function is therefore retained and even optimized with this new engine.
The first generation, which was launched in 2008, underwent modifications in 2013. The manufacturer made several changes at the Geneva Motor Show.
This version will be kept until 2017, year of the release of the second generation.
The 2018 Volvo XC60. This name will surely remain in Volvo's history books for a long time. This SUV appeared at the Geneva Motor Show in 2017 and simply conquered the entire planet.
At first, the latter was recognized for its style, its design and its almost perfect finish. The combination of elegance, sportiness and incredible luxury.
Secondly, its safety qualities are the most advanced in the world. Some even wonder if it isn't (in 2018) the safest SUV in the world! The most serious competitor being... The XC90!
The consecration for this SUV came in 2018 at the New York Motor Show where it received the 2018 World Car of the Year Award.
All these factors make the different versions of this XC60 a vehicle in demand on the used vehicle market in Quebec and Canada, regardless of the model year.
