Volvo Recharge Models Gain Increased Battery Capacity and More Range in 2022

Volvo announced that its entire lineup of 2022 Recharge plug-in hybrid vehicles will get improved range this year. The changes stem from an improvement in battery capacity which will allow Volvo Recharge model owners to go further without using a single drop of fuel.

With 58 km of all-electric range, most Volvo XC60 Recharge and Volvo XC90 Recharge owners should be able to complete their entire daily commute without needing a single drop of fuel. With the price of gas steadily increasing, it’s comforting to know that you can experience all the luxury and refinement of Volvo with significant fuel savings.


Volvo Recharge models also gain a more powerful electric motor in 2022. This motor increases total horsepower to 455, up from the previous 400 hp of Volvo Recharge models. This is exceptional once again and means that Volvo Recharge models are not just the most powerful in their respective segments, but the most powerful vehicles ever produced by Volvo.
