Introduced to the Volvo lineup in 2022, the C40 Recharge acts as a compact SUV for families looking for comfort while driving electric. But to take advantage of this new model, you had to order the Ultimate version, the most luxurious version of the Volvo C40 Recharge.
To homogenize the whole range, Volvo presents in 2023 two new versions in the catalog: Core & Plus.
In this article, we explain what these two versions include in terms of equipment.
Core & Plus: 2 intermediate versions offering complete equipment
Even if the Core & Plus versions are the introduction to the Ultimate version, they are still two models with more safety equipment than the competition!
The Core version
Let's start with the Core version, which from the entry level, offers :
- The rear view camera
- Blind spot detection, with lane departure warning and automatic braking
- Anti-collision alert with detection of cars, pedestrians, bicycles and large animals
- Sign reading
- Oncoming Lane Mitigation to avoid a collision if an oncoming vehicle enters your lane
- Falling asleep at the wheel alert
- Or automatic braking after a collision.
In terms of connectivity, the Volvo C40 Recharge also benefits from 4 years of Google service (Google Maps, Google Assistance & Google Play Store) as well as the Volvo Cars Service application. As an option, you have the possibility to order the climate package, including the steering wheel and the heated rear seats.
The Plus version
On the Plus version side, you'll get the 360-degree camera, HomeLink Garage Door or LED fog lights as an extra. As of this version, you will be able to equip your Volvo C40 2023 with 20" wheels!
New fabrics available
To offer more possibilities in the interior configuration of its Volvo C40 2023, the Swedish brand has introduced new fabrics starting with the Core version :
- City Canvas anthracite
- Wool and mist fabric mix
- Connect/Microtech anthracite suede fabric in a fjord blue interior
