4315 Boulevard Métropolitain Est, Montreal, QC, H1R 1Z4In November 2022, we presented our new flagship, the Volvo EX90, a top-of-the-range electric SUV that condenses all the brand's technological, safety and sustainability know-how.
But in the meantime, news about it has been increasingly limited - to the point where you were wondering whether the vehicle would ever arrive on our Quebec roads.
No need to worry!
After a delay in the launch, caused by technologies to be fine-tuned, the Volvo EX90 2025 is finally arriving in Canada.
And with an official presentation at the Toronto Auto Show, we finally know the price of this top-of-the-range SUV.

But before we talk price, we'd like to take a closer look at the specific features of the Volvo EX90, including its full array of technology.
In terms of technology, the Volvo EX90 introduces the LiDAR system; a safety package comprising five radars, eight cameras and 16 ultrasonic sensors forming a complete safety shield.
But it's not just on the outside that the Volvo takes care of you!
These monitoring systems can also detect signs of distraction or medical problems in the driver; even stopping the vehicle on the side of the road if the signs are worrying.

With its commitment to carbon neutrality by 2040, Volvo has had to think beyond the electrification of its vehicles to meet this deadline.
As a result, materials from natural, recycled and renewable sources are used for the vehicle's interior - such as Nordico upholstery made from textiles that come from recycled materials such as PET bottles, as well as bio-attributed polymer from forests in Sweden and Finland.
Finally, the Volvo EX90 has two electric motors with a combined output of 496 hp and maximum torque of 678 lb-ft, all powered by a 111 kWh battery.
In terms of range, Volvo promises up to 480 km and the ability to switch from a 10 to 80% charge in around 30 minutes at 250 kW. But this remains to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
The Volvo EX90 starts at $110,000 (MSRP), to which you have to add the cost of delivery and, of course, the federal luxury tax applicable to vehicles costing $100,000 or more.
The 7-passenger Plus version of this vehicle starts at $116,076 + tax.

At this rate, the vehicle will not qualify for government rebates.

Stefan Diklich, Product Manager at Volvo Car Canada, has confirmed that deliveries are scheduled to begin in the end of summer of 2024.
