Storage box for towing hook hitch
If you prefer not to clutter up your roof with accessories, there's another solution if you need cargo space - the hitch storage box.
From an aerodynamic point of view, a storage box is preferable to a roof box, as it sits protected behind the car, reducing your aerodynamic drag and therefore your average fuel consumption.
What's more, the bin's capacity is on a par with that of a roof rack, which can hold 400 liters for a maximum load weight of 50kg.

Roof-mounted tent
Since June 2024, the Volvo range has been enhanced by a brand new accessory: the soft-shell roof tent.
Tested and approved for Volvo cars equipped with roof rails and bars, this tent can accommodate 2 to 3 people, who will sleep comfortably on a plush mattress.
As an added bonus, a panoramic window lets you watch nature from the comfort of your tent. And don't worry about mosquitoes: the window is fitted with a mosquito net. You can ventilate your tent without being attacked.
Setting up and unfolding the tent is child's play. Remove the cover, use the ladder, and the tent unfolds by itself.
Tested in extreme conditions of humidity, temperature, wind and rain, and even in collisions, this tent is ideal for Volvo cars with a maximum static roof weight of 300 kg.
